No.4 – Vols hold Auburn out of the end zone for the first two quarters

It’s been five quarters since the Auburn Tigers offense has found the end zone. Tiger nation and have to be losing their minds that offensive genius Gus Malzhan can’t figure out how to fix the problem.

In fact, Auburn and Tennessee are very similar teams when it comes to the offensive side of the ball. Neither team has an offensive line that can develop any sort of a push. Both quarterbacks look uncomfortable in the pocket at times. And, finally, the running games for both teams have been hit or miss.

The Tigers have the 99th ranked offense according to NCAA.org. If you were wondering where the Vols rank, they currently stand at 101, not far behind Auburn.

Our first bold prediction stems from Auburn having a struggling offense; the Vols will hold the Tigers out of the end zone in the first two quarters. By doing so, that will add to an already streak of five quarters without an Auburn touchdown.

Will it be enough for the Vols to get the win? If they are close late in the game, you could see an upset. However, the Vols need help on offense, and that brings us to our second bold prediction.
