Tulsa Golden Hurricane at Arkansas Razorbacks

Saturday, Oct. 20 at 12 p.m. E.T.; Razorback Stadium; Fayetteville, Ark.

TV: SEC Network; Line: Arkansas -7; Over/Under: 55.5

Billy Williford

The Razorbacks look like a new team as of late. The wins haven’t came, but they look much better. Last week was only a four-point loss to Ole Miss. They scored 31 points on Alabama and came within a touchdown to Texas A&M. I don’t think this is the same Arkansas team that lost to Colorado State and North Texas.

Tulsa is coming into the game 1-5 on the season with a couple of heartbreaking losses. They lost 28-21 to Texas. 29-20 loss to Arkansas State and a one-point loss to South Florida.

So, Tulsa is probably better than the record shows but not good enough to hand with an Arkansas team that has scored 64 points in two games.

Both of these teams are looking to get their first win since Week 1 of the 2018 College Football Season. Arkansas has finally seemed to figure it out on Offense as they have scored 30+ points for the past two weeks. As for Tulsa, they suffered a crushing defeat last week as they blew a 14 point lead at home to undefeated USF.

On paper, Arkansas is the more talented team. This will show on Saturday. The Razorbacks should be able to put up points on the board early on in the game and never look back. Tulsa will have momentum from last week, but the Razorbacks will come out victorious.

I got burned earlier in the year by taking the Arkansas Razorbacks to cover in back to back non-conference games. They still haven’t won since that time. However, now they are playing a bad Group of Five team in the Tulsa Golden Hurricane. And like Tennessee football under Jeremy Pruitt, they are starting to play better under Chad Morris.

As a result of this, the Hogs will do what they need to do at home on Saturday. Although Tulsa gave the South Florida Bulls a fight, that was at home. They won’t be able to handle Razorback Stadium. Arkansas and Chad Morris will win and cover with their offense, but I’m going to take the under because Tulsa won’t score much.
