So they finally won a game! The Arkansas Razorbacks scored their first victory since the opening week of the season. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for us to move them anywhere in our SEC Power Rankings.

Sorry, but you don’t get a lot of credit for blowing out one of the worst teams in a Group of Five conference. Their close game against the Texas A&M Aggies was actually more impressive. The good news, though, is we can see this team getting better under Chad Morris.

A bowl game is still almost certainly out of the question for these guys. However, they have a chance to make a bit of a run coming up. This weekend, they play host to the Vanderbilt Commodores in a battle for last place in the league.

After that, though, it gets brutal with the LSU Tigers and road trips to the Mississippi State Bulldogs and Missouri Tigers to close out the season. So this year’s a loss, but they could at least make a statement with a decent finish.

What’s coming true is that their close lost last week to the next team in our SEC Power Rankings is going to feel more and more brutal as the year goes on, especially if they win Saturday. Let’s go to those guys next.
