No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners at No. 13 West Virginia Mountaineers

Friday, Nov. 23 at 8 p.m. E.T.; Milan Puskar Stadium; Morgantown, W. Va.

TV: ESPN; Line: Oklahoma -1.5; Over/Under: 83.5

This might be the best game of the week. Don’t look now but with a loss, the mighty West Mountaineers would have three losses on the season. The same Mountaineers team that was supposed to win a National Championship.

Oklahoma has a real chance at a College Football Playoff appearance, but they can’t lose this game. They have been winning games, but the Texas Tech and Oklahoma State games could have gone the other way.

West Virginia: 45 Oklahoma: 43 (West Virginia +2.5; Over 83.5)

The Oklahoma Sooners have to head to Morgantown to take on the West Virginia Mountaineers to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive. The same WVU team that destroyed Tennessee football, though, is now out of the hunt. But they have a chance to eliminate all hope for the Big 12 at home.

All due respect to Oklahoma, I can’t bet against West Virginia in Morgantown on a Friday night. It’s Senior Night for Will Grier, and he’s going to cash in on a game that will inevitably be a shootout. Even with the line set at 83.5, Grier vs. Kyler Murray has me going on the over. But I’ve also got West Virginia pulling off the upset in an epic shootout.

West Virginia: 55 Oklahoma: 48 (West Virginia +2.5; Over 83.5)

West Virginia lost their chances to go to the College Football Playoff last week by losing to Oklahoma State. Oklahoma in the meantime still controls their own destiny to make the College Football Playoff, win out and their chances are still high barring a few things going their way. West Virginia however will be playing to spoil the Sooners chances of making the Playoff. The Mountaineers also are playing for a potential spot in the Big XII Championship Game.

This game will feature just what the Chiefs and the Rams posted a week before, a high scoring affair. Definitely take the over in this one. Both defenses will struggle all game long to get a stop. Whoever is the first team that has the first turnover and capitalizes off of it is the team who will win this game. Right now it looks like the Mountaineers seem to have the better defense. Advantage? Mountaineers.

West Virginia: 59 Oklahoma: 52 (West Virginia +2.5; Over 83.5)
