And here we go again with another offensive lineman. Okay, let’s just get it out of the way that Tennessee football’s line was so historically bad last year that this is why we keep stressing it. Even five new guys in a strong class won’t fix it.

Tate Ratledge takes the Vols back to Georgia, where Jeremy Pruitt struck gold with his 2019 recruiting class. He clearly has an affinity for talent from that state, and the addition of Tee Martin is only going to help that.

Ratledge is a four-star offensive tackle out of Rome, which is where three-star tight end Sean Brown in the 2019 recruiting class came from. Already standing at 6’5″ 295 pounds, the additions of Martin and Jim Chaney, who is an offensive line guy, could really help the Vols make inroads with this prospect.

After all, the Georgia Bulldogs will likely be UT’s biggest competitor for this guy, and early predictions are saying as much. But Ratledge could definitely end up on Rocky Top if Pruitt goes hard after him, and his Georgia ties could only help. That Georgia pipeline combined with the talent is more than enough for us to put him in the top 5 on this list.
