Tae Daley. 5. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Safety. Junior. 887

With 53 tackles, Tae Daley can be very physical as a defensive back. However, his speciality is what he does in coverage. Even if the Vanderbilt Commodores aren’t winning when he does it, he still puts them in position to be decent. And down the stretch of the season, he has only gotten better, so he could be a real threat on Saturday.

For the season, Daley has three interceptions and two pass deflections. He also came away with two against the Florida Gators. Oh, and he also has a forced fumble. Last season, Daley was more of a tackler, and he had five and a half tackles for a loss and one and a half sacks. So he’s just a playmaker wherever you put him.

Remember, Tennessee football has still thrown 10 interceptions on the year, even if they have looked really good at avoiding mistakes the past two games. That’s always a danger, and Daley with a defensive specialist such as Derek Mason calling the plays could be deadly.

As a result, UT always needs to keep an eye out for the 6’0″ 202-pound defensive back. Whether or not he makes a lot of big plays will depend on other things happening throughout the game, but he is certainly a threat for Rocky Top and a key player they need to keep an eye on in Knoxville. He’ll be looking to torch UT.
