Tennessee Lady Vols report card in 78-51 loss at No. 1 Stanford
Bench grades
Rae Burrell: B-
Backing up Rennia Davis, Rae Burrell was once again reliable. She was the best scorer off the bench with seven points, and she added five rebounds and two blocks, playing bigger than many of the post players.
Kamera Harris: C+
As a four, Kamera Harris brings a different element than Lou Brown since she belongs more under the basket. But she at least used her height to be effective for the Tennessee Lady Vols, snagging four rebounds and four points. In 16 minutes of action, though, it could have been better.
Kasiyahna Kushkituah: B-
If Kasiyahna Kushkituah had been able to score more, she would have been the player of the game. Five points and seven rebounds in 20 minutes is a big deal, as Kushkituah realized that her team’s best chance was to be physical down low. She’s one of the few who did that.
Jaiden McCoy: B-
A stretch four player similar to Brown, Jaiden McCoy had a similar performance off the bench. But unlike Brown, she used her height. In only nine minutes of action, McCoy had three points and four rebounds. So she deserves credit.
Jessie Rennie: C
Kellie Harper went for Jessie Rennie as a three-point specialist. In 18 minutes of action, she took only one three-pointer and made it. Overall, she was one-for-two, missing a midrange shot. She needs to be more aggressive, and not doing so is why she gets a C.
Overall bench grade: C+
The inside game for the bench was actually not too bad against the Stanford Cardinal. However, they still made some mistakes, and the Tennessee Lady Vols need much more help from the outside game. C-games won’t cut it against the No. 1 team in the nation.
