Wide Receiver. 4-star. 4. Scouting Report. Quenton Barnes. player. 839. Pick Analysis

We’ve been talking about the wide receiver position throughout this post. Tennessee football should absolutely do whatever it can to secure elite wide receivers who are within the state. That is an obvious. Quenton Barnes fills that role, and that’s why he is so high on our list.

A four-star on Rivals, Barnes already would bring amazing size to the Vols. He stands at 6’3″ 180 pounds and is a top 250 player, the No. 39 ranked player nationally at his position and the No. 7 ranked player within his home state. Given his size, the guy could be an immediate threat at wideout, and as we’ve said, Jeremy Pruitt and Jim Chaney need help there.

Coming out of Cane Ridge High School in Nashville, which is where receiver Adonai Mitchell, who is also on this list, Barnes is another player who helps the Vols re-establish their pipeline into Middle Tennessee after going so heavy on West Tennessee the past couple of years. He also would be walking into a situation that will be wide open after Josh Palmer and Brandon Johnson leave.

There are no favorites or predictions surrounding Barnes on the Rivals FutureCast or the 247Sports Crystal Ball. However, UT is a favorite by a majority on the Rivals FanFutureCast. Also, with his connection to Mitchell, they could both end up on Rocky Top together, and that would be a major get.
