Many newsworthy items were revealed from Tennessee football’s start of 2020 spring practice on Tuesday. Here is a look at those things for the Volunteers.

Before spring practice began for Tennessee football, a few notes were already out there. Quavaris Couch and Wanya Morris would miss spring practice due to injury, four early enrollees from a top 10 recruiting class would be competing for starting spots, and there would be multiple new staff members and different roles for returning staff members.

However, even with all of that, the start of spring practice still brought out a few surprises. Based on the release of the roster, which Trey Wallace of The Read Optional revealed on Twitter, players who were seen out there at practice and things Jeremy Pruitt said after the first practice, which Wes Rucker of GoVols247 reported, there were a lot of new developments.

From players getting healthy to news on competition at different units to position changes and even positions that didn’t change, there are a lot of things that made the start of spring practice interesting for Tennessee football. It was actually a surprisingly heavy day of revelations.

In this post, we’re going to take a look at those things that were revealed. Again, these are developments that came with the start of spring practice. As a result, if we knew about them before Tuesday, they won’t make the list. That doesn’t just include injuries. It also includes position battles that we already knew would be taking shape, which you can read about here.

What’s clear about these new noteworthy items, however, is the fact that Pruitt’s third spring on Rocky Top should end up being very interesting. There are just too many things that we know are now happening in the program, and it’s all interesting.

Which of those things did we just recently learn about? How important will they be going forward? Let’s break that down here. These are the 10 major revelations from Tennessee football’s start of 2020 spring practice.
