player. Scouting Report. 6'4; 241 pounds. 3. 839. Pick Analysis. Tight End. Jordan Allen

Hometown: Fairfield, Calif.

Like Carlin Fils-Aime, Jordan Allen redshirted last year. However, during the offseason, he then made the conversion to tight end for Tennessee football due to the departure of Dominick Wood-Anderson, and with the recent injury to Austin Pope, there’s a major chance for him to see lots of action this year in the rotation. Regardless, he was always going to be some.

A four-star junior college transfer from City College of San Francisco in Jeremy Pruitt’s first recruiting class, the product of Armijo High School hasn’t been able to prove himself at all yet at this position. He started as an edge rusher, and he didn’t get enough opportunities to show what he could do at that position either.

As a result, he needs this chance to play. The guy has the body of a tight end but has literally taken zero snaps there in any real way. This opens up the possibility of Allen never showing some real potential at this position, potential we aren’t even sure he has yet. We just happen to believe it because Jeremy Pruitt moved him over there when he has greater need at edge rusher.

Should coronavirus shut down the season, Allen is another fifth-year senior who would definitely deserve the chance to get another shot. He appears to be finally healthy, and after a position switch, he should get the chance to show scouts his value at tight end.
