What do these two teams have in common? They both lost in a blowout to the Georgia Bulldogs but put up a fight in their second loss on the road to a ranked team. Now they get to face each other at Razorback Stadium to prove who is better.

Ranked No. 17 in the AP Poll and No. 19 in the Coaches Poll, the Arkansas Razorbacks are coming off a heartbreaking 52-51 loss to the Ole Miss Rebels. However, Sam Pittman’s decision to go for two at the end of the game, despite failing, was the right one, and the offense still looks like it can dominate anybody. This team’s wins over the Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies still count.

Meanwhile, Bryan Harsin now has competition with Josh Heupel and Tennessee football for the best first-year coaching job in the SEC. His team’s other loss is at the Penn State Nittany Lions by one score, and that’s nothing to be ashamed of. This is a chance for the Auburn Tigers prove they are top 25 caliber, as they are currently one spot out of both polls.

Prediction

Honestly, Auburn has actually looked a bit better so far, as PSU is a better loss than Ole Miss and they played Georgia tougher. However, the game is in Arkansas, the Hogs are energized playing for Pittman and last year’s missed call on the spike ball is still in the minds of Razorback fans. They want revenge, so I like them to cover. Expect a bit of a shootout too, so this hits the over.
