3. Ole Miss over 42.5

Why not double up your bets if you think the game will go over 82.5? There’s no reason to believe that Ole Miss won’t be able to hit that 42.5 mark with that over/under. Only once have they failed to go over 42.5 points on the year, and that was in their blowout loss to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Tennessee football is not Alabama.

The Vols have played solid on defense over the past two weeks, but an offense led by Matt Corral is a different story. Remember, this is the same UT team that gave up 41 points to the Pittsburgh Panthers, another elite passing offense, and 38 points to the Florida Gators while just getting torched on the ground.

Assuming Ole Miss continues taking care of the ball, the Vols will almost certainly allow them to score lots of points. Some of this is based on Josh Heupel’s system as well, as he’ll run a lot of tempo on offense, giving Ole Miss lots of possessions in the game.

In fact, UT’s defense may actually play well on Saturday. However, the high number of possessions is what will almost guarantee Ole Miss goes over this number. Their offense is too elite to avoid seven touchdowns with this many advantages.
