3. Alabama under 46

Of all the prop bets to take, this is the least safe one. However, Alabama will either fail to beat Tennessee football by 25, fail to score 46 points or fail to do either. That’s because if the Tide win by 25, it’ll be a result of them getting off to a red-hot start and then Nick Saban pulling everybody before they can make the game too ugly.

The fact of the matter is Alabama only scored 42 points against Ole Miss, and that was with them jumping out to a 35-0 lead. Saban is able to call off the dogs pretty early nowadays given the way his team wins games, and he doesn’t have the usual depth to keep up his blowout victories.

As a result, this is probably the riskiest prop bet, but take a chance on it. If you take this one and bet the Vols on the spread, you’re bound to get one right. Alabama will only score more than 46 points if the Vols make this a game that goes back and forth.

Let’s not forget that Alabama is also a key injury on offense away from scoring even less than that. In 2020, Jaylen Waddle went down against the Vols, and the year before, Tua Tagovailoa went down against them. Last week was the first time Bama broke 46 against a Power Five foe. They won’t do it two weeks in a row.
