2. Tennessee over 21

You see why it makes sense to take Tennessee football on the spread? The Vols are much more likely to go over three touchdowns, as they have done in every game but one this year, than Alabama is to go over 46 points. Put the two together, and it’s makes perfect sense to take UT with the over given what we’ve recently seen.

Again, this is solely based on the health of the Vols. However, all the evidence suggests that everybody will be ready to go. On the other side, Nick Saban doesn’t have a great history going up against head coaches and quarterbacks he’s never faced, particularly dual-threat quarterbacks.

That’s enough to say that the Vols will go over 21. Heck, similar to the 46 points on the other slide, if Alabama gets a big enough lead, they’ll let the Vols go over 21. This is a team that let the Mercer Bears score 14 points on them.

So far, four teams have failed to hit 21 or more against Alabama. However, three of the five Power Five teams they have faced have hit that mark. Against a Vols offense better than most, you have to think they’ll surrender at least 21 once again. Take Rocky Top on the over.
