Newcomers

Alexus Dye

  • 6’0″
  • Senior
  • Birmingham, Ala.

Kellie Harper has two graduate transfers from smaller Division 1 schools at the four this year. We mentioned Keyen Green. Alexus Dye is another one. Dye joins the Tennessee Lady Vols after two years with the Troy Trojans.

Last year, Dye was the Sun Belt Player of the Year, averaging 16.6 points, 12.6 rebounds and just over one steal a game. Her production defensively and inside makes her the perfect candidate to replace Rennia Davis’ production, but she will definitely be looked to for an immediate impact.

Sara Puckett

  • 6’2″
  • Freshman
  • Muscle Shoals, Ala.

The highest-rated recruit in Rocky Top’s 2021 class, Sara Puckett is an agile forward who will be able to help stretch the court. Her finesse is a huge advantage, and she definitely will provide depth at the position. She was a four-star recruit with a 93 overall rating on ESPN and is listed as a top 10 forward in the class.

Karoline Striplin

  • 6’3″
  • Freshman
  • Hartford, Ala.

Yes, the Tennessee Lady Vols have two freshman forwards from Alabama in their class, and both are four-star recruits who are the highest-rated players in the class. Both are also the candidates on the wing for when Harper plays big. Karoline Striplin was one spot behind Puckett in the ESPN rankings, but she brings the same thing to the table.
