1. Tennessee over 28.5

This one’s easy. Look, Tennessee football is at least going to have two touchdowns in the first quarter. Also, if the Vols win this game, they’ll have to hit the 30-point mark. The Mississippi State Bulldogs and Georgia Bulldogs did in their wins at Kentucky, and despite being inferior to Georgia, there’s no reason to believe UT doesn’t have the offense that can do the same thing.

Skeptics will point out that the Vols failed to score 28.5 points against the Ole Miss Rebels and Alabama Crimson Tide. Well, they were banged up in both games. Tiyon Evans was out against Ole Miss, so they couldn’t get their run game going. Hendon Hooker and Evans both played banged up against Alabama, and they still scored 24 points.

Now, on the heels of a week off, you have to think that the Vols have enough offensive firepower to surpass 28.5 points. Not only has the team gotten healthier, but Josh Heupel has had a week off to prepare for this team.

In two years as the Missouri Tigers’ offensive coordinator, Heupel averaged 27.5 points against Mark Stoops’ Wildcats. However, that first team in 2016 was still rebuilding. This is a different team, and the only reason to question it going over 28.5 points is the cold weather.
