Just like Tennessee football in the Music City Bowl, this site is looking to finish the season with a bang. Unlike Tennessee football, we need the bang to consider this year a success when it comes to our gambling predictions.

Conference Title week performances (Click here to see last week’s picks)

  • Outright: 6-4
  • Moneyline: 6-4; $100.51 profit if $100 bet on every game (+10%)
  • Gambling record: 10-10 (6-4 against the spread; 4-6 over/under)

As you can see, the picks based on the WynnBET betting odds kept the gambling record on the spread and the over/under below profit margin, ever so slightly at 51.5 percent. At least the moneyline for the year is gaining steam.

2021 overall performances

  • Outright: 107-39
  • Moneyline: 83-38; $197 profit if $100 bet on every game (+1.6%)
  • Gambling record: 134-126-4 (70-61-1 against the spread; 64-65-3 over/under)

Now we get to close in strong fashion. We’ll pick all 42 bowl games, going in the order of which they are scheduled but closing with New Years Six games, College Football Playoff games and then Tennessee football in that order. Once the national championship is set, we’ll revisit this for one final pick. Let’s go ahead and dive in with the final picks and bets post of the year.

Thomas A. Robinson National Stadium; Nassau, NP, The Bahamas

Gambling odds according to WynnBET:

  • Line: Toledo -10
  • Over/Under: 51
  • Moneyline: Toledo -380; MTSU +290

Bowl picks start with a mediocre Conference USA vs. Mid-American Conference challenge in New Province, The Bahamas. Just a couple hours up the road from Tennessee football, the Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders started off 1-3 but won four of their final six games to reach a bowl.

On the other side, the Toledo Rockets finished the season on a three-game winning streak to assure themselves a winning record, and they head to the Caribbean with a ton of momentum. It’s a battle of veteran mid-major coaches in Jason Candle and Rick Stockstill.

Prediction

MTSU’s only win against a team with a winning record was against the Marshall Thundering Herd, and it was before quarterback Chase Cunningham got hurt. Without him, this red-hot Toledo team, which is playing better with its quarterback, Dequan Finn, will cover easily. Toledo has scored at least 34 points their past five games and 49 points three times, so the game hits the over as well.

Toledo: 38 MTSU: 24 (Toledo -10; Over 51)
