Ambitious analysts high on Tennessee football this year are giving them a legitimate chance to beat the Georgia Bulldogs or Alabama Crimson Tide. We just wrote about College Football News predicting UT to beat Georgia despite also picking them to go 8-4, and 247Sports analysts say the Vols and Bama will be the SEC’s biggest game in 2022.

Whether or not they are right remains to be seen, but if those two are in play, then the Vols have a huge opportunity to wreck a two-way market bet offered by WynnBET recently. The bet allows you to take the field against Georgia, Alabama and the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Essentially, WynnBET has set the odds at -380 that one of those teams wins the national championship, so you can take that or the field. Tennessee football, obviously, would have a huge role in that given the fact that they play Alabama and Georgia. These three are overwhelming favorites to win the title. Here’s what was written.

"The Bulldogs, who are the defending champions, are actually third in odds with a price of +375 to defend their crown. Alabama (+200) and Ohio State (+325) lead the way, while no other team is better than 12/1 to win the title."

So what are the chances of the Vols winning either of these games? They haven’t even been competitive with either of these teams the past five years. The last time they were competitive in either game was the Hail Mary win at Georgia in 2016, and the last time they were competitive with Alabama was back in 2015.

However, those happen to be the last two years Rocky Top finished ranked in the top 25. This year, there are numerous expectations for them to be a top 25 team again, which puts these games in play. Then there is the nature of when they will face each of these teams.

Alabama does have to travel to Knoxville, and it’ll be their seventh straight game without a bye at that point. Tennessee football, on the other hand, will just be playing in its second game after a bye. The week before, they head to Death Valley to face the LSU Tigers. There’s an outside chance the Vols are 5-0 by then too and riding high with confidence.

Georgia, meanwhile, has to face the Vols between the Florida Gators and a trip to the Mississippi State Bulldogs. Whatever you think about Florida this year, that is still a rivalry game, so it’ll be emotional for both teams. A trip to MSU is also tricky, so it’s clearly a trap game.

Will that be enough for Tennessee football to win either game? That’s hard to say, but it doesn’t seem likely since they were blown out in both games last year. However, if they do have a chance, then they could really wreck this betting opportunity for lots of fans.
