Here are two takeaways from the game:
Tennessee’s Bats Were on Fire
Many key players for the Volunteers had an amazing game in last night’s victory. One of which being Blake Burke. Burke had a homer last game and continued his streak in the game yesterday by launching a 3-run homer to help lead the Vols to victory.
#25 is becoming an absolute force on offense and is a player that opposing teams will have nightmares about later in the season.
Long Road Ahead
The Vols are now 2-2 and starting to look like the team that they were last year. They have a bunch of new and young talent, so it’s going to take a lot of creative coaching from Tony Vitello to fit all of the puzzle pieces together on this team.
I am confident that over the 56-game season, Tennessee baseball will find its groove at some point and start absolutely torching teams.
