Tennessee baseball swept the Texas A&M Aggies and defended their home field this weekend.

Volunteer baseball has been going through a rollercoaster of emotions in the past few weeks but finally got back on track against the Aggies. The Vols were dominant throughout the three-game series and racked up a few home runs, and the offense proved that they are one of the best, if not the best, offenses in the country.

Tennessee Baseball Weekend Recap

Game 1: (21) Texas A&M (15-7, 1-3 SEC) vs. (11) Tennessee (17-6, 1-3 SEC)

Recap: The Vols started the game swinging, putting up five runs in the first inning. They continued to dominate into the second inning and put up another two runs bringing their lead to 7-3. From then on out, they took care of business and did not let up any comeback in the end.

Tennessee finished the game with ten hits, ten runs, and two errors. Texas A&M finished the game with three hits, four runs, and no errors.

Homer Tracker: Blake Burke homered his 9th of the season for 444 ft. and had an exit velocity of 113 mph.

Final Score: 10-4 Volunteers

Game 2: (21) Texas A&M (15-8, 1-4 SEC) vs. (11) Tennessee (18-6, 2-3 SEC)

Recap: The second game was much different from the first one. This game was closer and came down to a walk-off in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Volunteers the victory. The Volunteers came back from being down three runs to win game 2. The atmosphere at Lindsey Nelson was electric, and the Vols looked like themselves again.

Tennessee finished the game with nine hits, eight runs, and one error. Texas A&M finished the game with eight hits, seven runs, and one error.

Final Score: 8-7 Volunteers

Game 3: (21) Texas A&M (15-9, 1-5 SEC) vs. (11) Tennessee (19-6, 3-3 SEC)

Recap: In the series’ final game, the Vols showed up again and dominated from start to finish. The Vols found their groove and swept the No. 21 ranked Aggies. They showed tremendous resilience and determination and got the job done this weekend.

Tennessee finished the game with 12 hits, nine runs, and one error. Texas A&M finished the game with ten hits, six runs, and no errors.

Homer Tracker: Zane Denton homered his 4th of the season for 410 ft. and a 104 mph exit velocity.
