If Tennessee football fans were looking for some good news this weekend, leave it to reporter Ryan Callahan of GoVols247 to provide it for you. Callahan caught up with 5-star Vols commit Gabriel Osenda, who has been linked with the Georgia Bulldogs of late.

The expectation was that Osenda was going to take an official visit to Athens, which obviously would have been a huge concern for Josh Heupel and his staff. Thankfully, though, Callahan is reporting that Osenda indeed is locked in with Tennessee after his recent unofficial visit and he won't be taking any other trips to meet with other programs. Boom:

5-star Tennessee commit Gabriel Osenda won't be taking other visits

Last month, Osenda said that he wasn't going to be taking other OVs, but then panic alarms went off after he said that if any team would be able to turn his head before he signs with the Vols, it'd be the Georgia Bulldogs.

It made sense that Georgia was upping its recruiting efforts with Osenda, as Kirby Smart and Co. swung and missed with 5-star Jackson Cantwell, the top-ranked offensive tackle in the country. However, it looks like Osenda has said thanks, but no thanks.

We don't have to tell you that this provides major relief for Vols fans out there. The in-state OT is ranked five stars and the No. 4 offensive tackle in the country per 247Sports. Osenda has picked up a ton of offers this cycle, but UT was able to come out on top for his verbal.

A lot can change until the Early Signing Period arrives, but for now, Osenda has everyone thinking about him donning a UT jersey once the 2026 campaign gets here. He'll be blocking for 5-star QB Faizon Brandon and there's a good chance he'll be looking to open up holes for 5-star running back Savion Hiter as well if all goes to plan for Heupel.
