The future Vol remains the top signal-caller in the country.

While there's still a long time for him to make things official, the hype surrounding 5-star quarterback Faizon Brandon continues to grow. He committed to the Tennessee football team back in early August and he hasn't wavered one bit.

With Brandon looking strong this offseason too, it has Vols fans even more excited for him to get to campus in 2026. In disappointing fashion, though, he lost his 5-star status in the new On3 rankings not long ago, with him being set as the No. 3 QB in the country.

Well, 247Sports just updated its rankings for '26 and Brandon didn't move down at all. Nope, he remains a 5-star playmaker, the No. 1 quarterback in the country and the No. 1 player overall nationally:

Joining Brandon in the Top 10 are some familiar names, of course including 5-star wide receiver Tristen Keys, the nation's No. 1 WR. Keys is all set to visit Tennessee on March 10. He is visiting multiple schools for spring ball, including Miami earlier this week.

Can you imagine if Keys ends up following Brandon to Knoxville? You'd have the two of the top playmakers in the country getting ready to ball out for the same team, which is of course something head man Josh Heupel is shooting for.

While it's up in the air if Keys will pledge to UT, we do know that Brandon is fired up for his future with the SEC powerhouse. At the Navy All-American Bowl, he opened plenty of eyes with his strong play. There's a reason he's ranked five stars, folks.

Brandon still has a senior season to go through this fall and then he'll get ready to make the move to the next level. Teams are still working to flip him, but he has made it more than clear that he's 100 percent locked in with Heupel and Co. And when he does get to campus, he'll be doing so, unless something changes later this year, as the No. 1 prospect for his class.
