When it comes to recruiting, everyone knows that nothing is official until a player is signed and a top prospect is always on 'flip watch.' This is something Tennessee Vols football fans know all about, which is why they've been a little worried about 5-star verbal Faizon Brandon.

Ranked the No. 1 quarterback in the country, Brandon is coming off a strong showing at the Navy All-American Bowl, which still has people talking. Brandon continues to hear from other programs, but in an interview with Rivals' Sam Spiegelman, he made it crystal clear that he's not going to entertain outside interest and won't be taking other visits. Nope, he's locked in with the Vols and he's ready to help head coach Josh Heupel out on the recruiting trail:

Tennessee commit Faizon Brandon is ready to help recruit for the Vols' 2026 class

With Brandon being a North Carolina product, rumors started flying that he'd have high interest in the Tar Heels after Bill Belichick took the job in Chapel Hill. However, Brandon didn't waste time in saying that while it was a good move for UNC, he was sticking with Tennessee.

With him continuing to look sharp throwing the ball all over the field, it's of course going to turn the heads of college coaches across the country. It's what led to Brandon receiving so many offers in the first place - he chose Tennessee over Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, UNC, Ohio State and many others.

With spring ball right around the corner for Heupel in Knoxville, he's of course going to use it as a great time to bring in recruits for visits. Once that window opens up, look for Brandon to help out in getting top targets on campus. Brandon sees a great future with the program and he's going to be eyeing plenty of other playmakers to join him for the 2026 haul.
