Throughout the week, there was a slim chance that Alabama was going to be without star running back Jam Miller for this weekend's showdown against Tennessee football. Obviously, no one was hoping for the youngster to stay hurt, but Vols fans were keeping an eye on the Bama injury report.
Greg McElroy's Joey Aguilar comments make him calling Bama-Tennessee worse
Miller suffered a concussion last week, which had him questionable for this one. However, on Thursday night, the latest injury report arrived and Miller has been deemed as probable. All signs are pointing to him playing, which means Tennessee's defense will have to be at its best in trying to slow down the run game AND Ty Simpson/the aerial attack.

Alabama RB Jam Miller is expected to play against Tennessee this weekend
Miller missed the first part of the season, but he's been back on the gridiron for the Tide the past three games. As you might have been able to guess, he's been quite special with the ball in his hands, posting 58 carries for 267 yards and a touchdown.
He's the workhorse for the Bama rushing attack and the Tennessee defensive line is going to have a tall task in trying to slow him down. Having Miller out on the field is going to complicate things for the Vols, but the playmakers up front are ready to answer the call.
Meanwhile for Tennessee, the disappointing news came in that Jermod McCoy has officially been ruled out for the third Saturday in October. There was always a small chance that he'd be cleared in time to take the field, but now everyone is wondering when he'll be able to return.
With McCoy still not ready to suit up, the pressure will be on for cornerbacks Ty Redmond and Colton Hood to prevent Simpson from connecting with his wideouts on some big plays. That's of course going to be a difficult challenge too. Bama is favored in this one, but the Vols have an upset in mind. Soon enough, these two teams will take the field and it should be a heavyweight bout.
