During Saturday night’s win over Alabama, Tennessee unfortunately suffered a scary moment when Jaylen Carey went down with what appeared to be a serious injury.
In the second half, Carey attempted a layup following a post move, but he immediately fell to the ground. He remained on the baseline for a while, clearly in pain, and ultimately did not re-enter the game.
After the game, head coach Rick Barnes said, "I think he might have hyper-extended it. They told me he was in the back running in case we needed him, but I think that's what it was. He planted it pretty hard. Pretty good collision right there."
The good news is that Carey seemed to be OK and was potentially able to come back in. Carey is listed as probable, as his presence will be greatly needed against Georgia, providing a spark down low. The Bulldogs are one of the fastest-paced teams in the nation, so points will be coming at a dime a dozen tonight.

Troy Henderson, on the other hand, has already been ruled out. Henderson injured his shoulder in practice last week and is expected to return soon, but unfortunately, not for the Georgia contest tonight.
The freshman guard has been a valuable presence off the bench this year and has been missed. He made a crucial shot against Texas A&M to tie the game, which eventually led to a victory in double overtime.
For now, Amaree Abram and Amari Evans will need to step up on the wings in place of Henderson, as the Vols aim to secure back-to-back road wins tonight.
