I grew up in the tiny town of Bryson City, NC. It was here where I first fell in love with sports by following home town hero Heath Shuler play at Tennessee and on into the NFL. While I wasn’t near old enough to appreciate what Heath was doing at UT (I was about 2 when he left to go pro), I know that he the biggest reason why I am the Vol fan that I am today.Through this love of sports, I continued following some of the teams that my family had been following their whole lives including the Atlanta Braves and North Carolina basketball. While I still follow the Braves with everything that I have, since enrolling at UT, I have become a 100% UT basketball fan (although I still do keep up with the childhood team from time to time). For whatever reason, I have never had a NFL team and have never really gotten into it until this year (my roommate is about to convert me into a Packers fan). While I do love all sports (yes, even soccer), basketball has always been my favorite to play and watch.Lastly, I feel that you do not know the real me unless I tell of my love for Christ and I give Him all of the glory for everything He has given me.
