When Tennessee and Josh Heupel first landed elite wide receiver Kesean Bowman, it was cause for celebration all over the state. Because of that, you could imagine that there was probably a ton of worry in Knoxville when reports surfaced that the speedster was eyeing other visits, with Ole Miss working overtime to get him to change his mind ahead of the Early Signing Period.

Thankfully, it looks like the Vols have nothing to worry about. Just recently, Bowman decided to make his way to social media to silence the noise about him potentially flipping, needing only a quick message to remind the Tennessee faithful that he's locked in with the program:

4-star Tennessee commit Kesean Bowman has silenced flip rumors in the best way possible

Open-and-shut case. While the possibility remains that Bowman might take other visits, it's safe to say the Brentwood Academy (a little under three hours away from Knoxville) will be ready to sign with the Vols in December and make this official.

Once that happens, it will bring to an end what's been a pretty entertaining recruitment ride for people who have been following it closely. The 6-0, 175-pounder was once Oregon-bound, but he backed off his commitment and took other trips. Back on March 28, Bowman decided that he wanted to play his college ball in the SEC, giving the Tennessee staff the news they were hoping for.

Previously, Bowman was a 5-star prospect, but he's since been dropped to 4-star status. Still, he's ranked the No. 10 WR in the country, the No. 2 player from Tennessee, and the No. 60 prospect nationally according to the 247Sports Composite. Throughout his recruitment, Bowman has picked up more than 40 offers, which speaks to just how highly touted a playmaker he is.

Thankfully, the Vols were able to pull this recruiting win off, and a bright future is waiting for him at Neyland Stadium, making plays in the Josh Heupel offense. This comes after Tennessee also signed 5-star wideout Tristen Keys as a member of the 2026 class, flipping him from LSU. Both he and Bowman could be studs moving forward, regardless of whether Faizon Brandon or George MacIntyre is the one throwing them the ball.

Sure, Ole Miss could continue to grind in trying to steal Bowman away from the Vols, but for now it looks like he's all set on his college decision. With Tennessee at 5-1 this year and ranked No. 14 in the country, it's clear that Bowman understands the future is bright for the program, and that he wants to be a part of it. His excitement to be a Vol will undoubtedly only grow if Heupel and Co. can take care of business this weekend against No. 6 Alabama.
