Dalton Knecht will return to the Los Angeles Lakers Summer League roster for the second year in a row. Knecht didn't receive a significant amount of playing time with the Lakers despite some solid performances that would have earned him playing time with any other NBA team.

As a result, he will have the opportunity to return to the Summer League with the Lakers. The Lakers have shared their Summer League roster, and Knecht will return to the Summer League as he looks to become a more permanent member of the Lakers' rotation.

Knecht appeared in 78 of the 82 games last season, averaging 9.1 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 0.8 assists in his first season while averaging a 46.1% shooting percentage and shooting 37.6% from three-point range.

Knecht mentioned that he hopes to show more skills than just shooting in the Summer League as he works to become a mainstay with the Lakers this year.

"Just showing what I can do," Knecht told the Orange County Register. "Feel like I kind of showed a little bit throughout my rookie year, but just keep building on top of that."

Knecht will join other rising players, RJ Davis, Eric Dixon, Bronny James, Ty Johnson, Augustas Marčiulionis, and Julian Reese, among others.

Some of those players join Knecht as they search for playing time next season, while others hope to make the roster for the following year.

The Lakers' Summer League schedule begins on Saturday when they will face the Golden State Warriors as part of a three-game California Classic.

After that trio of games, the Lakers will proceed to play four more Summer League games. Those will take place on July 10 against the Dallas Mavericks, July 12 against the New Orleans Pelicans, July 14 against the Los Angeles Clippers, and finally July 17 against the Boston Celtics.
