Yup, it's safe to say that Tennessee Vols playmaker Jahmai Mashack is still riding high from his epic shot over the weekend. His 3-pointer from WAY downtown is still being talked about, as it helped Tennessee take down then No. 6 Alabama in a thriller.
Mashack now has the Vols in a prime position to grab a No. 1 seed for the first time in program history. After his game-winner, Mashack revealed that he dedicated his big moment to his parents, as he's always working to make them proud.
Well, his folks aren't the only ones who are proud of him, as you can 100 percent add the legendary Dick Vitale to the list. Vitale was in Knoxville for the SEC clash and he showered Mashack with love. Not only that, but the two had a heartwarming exchange on social media too which is sure to make a lot of people smile out there:

Dick Vitale loved what he saw out of Jahmai Mashack against Alabama
It's been well documented that Vitale has been in a long-term battle with cancer, but he's back calling games and feeling healthy once again. The fact that he's got the headset back on and is cancer-free, it's just... it's awesome, baby!
Mashack posted that he was praying for Vitale to get healthy when he was in New York. Fast forward to three months later and Vitale was in the house to witness one of the best shots in recent history for the Tennessee program.
Vitale saw Mashack's post and had no choice but to respond and let him know that he appreciated the well wishes. At the same time Dickie V was also blown away with Mashack being able to be so clutch for his team down the stretch.
Rick Barnes was furiously trying to call a timeout, but the refs missed it and the rest was history. Moving forward, the Vols are ready to make a ton of noise in the SEC Tournament and then in the NCAA Tournament too. Vitale will be following the team closely and he'll also be ready to see Mashack deliver with more unforgettable moments.
