Not long ago, Tennessee football fans were pretty fired up at the idea of elite wide receiver prospect Salesi Moa joining the Vols as a big get for the 2026 class. However, he ended up changing his mind late, inking with Utah, his father's alma mater, during the Early Signing Period.

With Kyle Whittingham making the move from Utah to Michigan, however, it seemed like maybe the door would be open for the Vols to get involved again. However, it doesn't look like that's going to be the case. Instead, EJ Holland is reporting that it's on the table for Moa to make the move to Ann Arbor as well to suit up for Whittingham after all:

Former Tennessee commit Salesi Moa could end up playing for Michigan

Despite Moa signing with the Utes, because of the coaching change, the door isn't closed for him to have yet another change of heart. Whittingham taking over at Michigan has come as a bit of a surprise, but it's being viewed as a home-run hire for the Big Ten side.

Whittingham has hit the ground running, but is it going to lead to Utah losing one of its top-rated signees? That's up in the air, but it doesn't seem like Tennessee is being considered at this time by Moa despite him previously being Knoxville-bound.

When Moa first committed to Tennessee, he was ranked five stars and one of the top athletes in the country. He was receiving interest from teams as both a wideout and safety, but offense appears to be where he'll be lining up at the next level.

Tennessee was able to put together a strong 2026 class, of course highlighted by Faizon Brandon, Gabriel Osenda and Tristen Keys. However, losing both Moa and Legend Bey, to Utah and Ohio State respectively, stung. Moa could be on the move once again, with Michigan now being the main team to watch moving forward.
