Henry Silver has social media exploding thanks to epic College GameDay kick
How is this kid not on a college football roster?! With College GameDay in Athens for Week 12, all of the attention is on the Tennessee Volunteers and Georgia Bulldogs facing off in a massive SEC showdown. However, a young man by the name of Henry Silver is now getting a ton of love too.
As we've grown used to seeing, the College GameDay crew has someone come out to try and drill a 30-yard field goal to not only provide money for those in need, but also for their own pocket. On Saturday, Silver stepped up with $800,000 on the line - $400,000 for hurricane relief, plus $200,000 for him and another $200,000 for his friend Belle. With ice in his veins, Silver sent the ball right down the middle:
Henry Silver stole the show at College GameDay with his unreal kick
That boot might have been good from 50! The fans on hand for College GameDay went wild and Pat McAfee was fired up for both Henry and Belle. It truly was a perfect kick. Twitter indeed is on fire, with everyone impressed with what Mr. Silver was able to get done:
Those are only a handful of examples of people showcasing just how thrilled they were to see the FG fly through the posts. McAfee said that no matter how much people begged for Henry to get a second chance, he wasn't going to give it to him.
Well, no second shot was needed here. Silver drilled his first and only try with a ton of swagger and confidence. Pete Thamel even joked that Silver is yet to enter the transfer portal - that's how awesome his kick was.
Maybe Kirby Smart needs to get on the phone with him ASAP. This is a moment Silver, his friend Belle and so many others will never forget. Hey, Silver has 200,000 extra reasons to be happy about this happening too.
