Last weekend, the Tennessee Volunteers got a bunch of help from other teams to boost their stock for the College Football Playoff rankings. Last Tuesday night, the Vols were ranked the No. 11 team in the country by the committee, but they were also projected to be the first team out.

That's not the case now, however. Ole Miss lost to Florida, Alabama was stunned by Oklahoma and Ohio State dominated Indiana in Columbus. It was a perfect weekend for Tennessee, which took care of business and dismantled UTEP 56-0 at home. So, how many spots will they move up? We're about to find out.

What time is the College Football Playoff rankings show tonight?

If you're hoping to watch things live, this week's edition of the CFP rankings release show is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET.

How to watch Tuesday night's College Football Playoff rankings on TV

As you probably know by now, ESPN is going to have the CFP rankings show televised for everyone to enjoy. We can't wait to see what its analysts think of some of the committee's decisions.

If you're going to be on the go, you can stream the rankings show tonight via the ESPN app. In addition, you can also watch via fubo.TV.

Where will the Tennessee Vols land in the new CFP rankings?

Soon enough, we'll find out where the Vols end up. Plenty of projections have Tennessee moving up to No. 9 in the country, but some expect them to climb up to No. 8. Depending on how things go this weekend too, there's a chance Tennessee could end up hosting a CFP first-round game at Neyland Stadium.

With that said, the team's CFP dreams will end if they lose to Vanderbilt in Nashville. Running back Dylan Sampson and his teammates are treating this like a playoff game and understandably so.
