Jahmai Mashack posts awesome message after NBA Draft that Tennessee fans will love

This really is what it's all about. On Thursday night, plenty of us were left shocked when with the last pick of the NBA Draft, Jahmai Mashack heard his name called. It's a moment that he's going to remember for the rest of his life and he's now ready to get to work with the Memphis Grizzlies.

Over the past four seasons, Mashack was the textbook definition of fan favorite for Tennessee basketball. He had a work ethic that was unmatched, which helped the Vols post some memorable wins while he was on campus. He's ready to bring that same mindset to Memphis, which is great to see:

Anyone surprised Mashack had to say this? Absolutely not. Sure, he's Mr. Irrelevant, but this is only going to push him to make a name for himself at the next level and prove his doubters wrong who claim he doesn't deserve to be in the league.

Mashack can knock down some shots when you need him too, but he's without question one of the best defenders for his draft class. In the college game, he was an absolute stud on the defensive end of the floor, giving big-name stars all sorts of problems.

As for his offensive game, yeah, he's not going to light up the box score with 30 points a night. However, Mashack can deliver under pressure. Earlier this week we reminded everyone of his game-winner at home against Alabama. Allow us to do that again:

Yup, that shot is going to go down as one of the best in program history. It's going to be tough to watch the Vols in action next year and not see Mashack and Zakai Zeigler still balling out for Rick Barnes. However, he's not too far away in Memphis and he already knows that Knoxville will always be a second home for him.
