There was no hangover for Tennessee football following the loss to Georgia in Week 3. On Saturday, the Vols returned to Neyland Stadium and a dominant performance against UAB was posted. Yup, Tennessee had no issues recording a 56-24 win.
Tennessee's 3 annual SEC rivals leaked ahead of SEC schedule release
As you might have been able to guess, quarterback Joey Aguilar was strong with the ball in his hands, once again throwing the ball all over the field. Right after the final whistle on Saturday, Aguilar made it clear that the loss to UGA was put in the past and that he's ready to take things week-to-week moving forward:
Taking it week by week.

Joey Aguilar was once again brilliant in the Week 4 win over UAB
"It was a tough game last Saturday, but that's in the past and we have to flush it," Aguilar said right after the win over UAB at Neyland Stadium. "This was a new opponent on the schedule and we just gotta go week-by-week and prepare week-by-week like I said."
It seems like a simple message from Aguilar, but it's the right mindset to have. The loss to Georgia hurt and it's going to continue to be that way for a little while. However, the Vols can't dwell on the missed opportunities in that game.
Instead, like Aguilar said, the locker room needs to flush things and stay focused on the next opponent. That was the case vs. the Blazers, and now a Week 5 matchup against Mississippi State is on the way. This has 'trap game' written all over it, but Josh Heupel will have his guys focused on the task at hand.
That task is to improve to 4-1, though the Bulldogs aren't going to make things easy. The crowd in Starkville will hope to give the Tennessee offense issues too, but this is where Aguilar's experience will come into play. He's not going to let any outside noise affect him. That's a big reason why the Tennessee faithful have so much belief and trust in him.
