For the first time in over a month, Tennessee football fans are given a reminder of what a weekend is going to look like without the Vols in action. Yup, can't say we're loving this, as Tennessee is on a bye getting a much-needed break.
However, leave it to Joey Aguilar to already have people thinking about next week thanks to some pretty eye-opening recent comments. While the Vols are averaging an unheard of 51 points per game through the first five weeks of the year, the best is yet to come for that side of the ball.
That's what Aguilar wants to make clear for everyone following this team. Aguilar has of course loved what he and his teammates have gotten done, but he indeed thinks things will be taken to another level in terms of explosive plays being posted. Goodness:

When asked about the offensive being even more explosive, Aguilar said, “When you go back and watch film and see there’s still so much more that we can do better.”

Joey Aguilar is ready for the Tennessee offense to take things to a new level after the bye
It's hard to imagine things going even better for Tennessee on offense, but Aguilar is the one, along with the coaches, who goes back and watches the film. He's going to want to see Tennessee operate at a high level next weekend when Arkansas makes its way to Neyland for an SEC battle.
The last time these two teams faced off, Nico Iamaleava was running the O and the Vols couldn't get into any kind of a rhythm on the road. In the end, a 19-14 loss to the Razorbacks was posted for Tennessee, which was ranked No. 9 in the country at the time.
This time around, things are humming for Tennessee and revenge no question is on plenty of players' minds for this one. Aguilar has been sensational for UT, but he also understands he's been far from perfect. He'll keep on working to clean things up with the heart of the SEC schedule on the way. With him looking to get better, that's surely bad news for opposing defenses hoping to slow him down in the coming weeks.
