The Tennessee football team has been hard at work on the recruiting trail, as Josh Heupel has been getting recruits on campus for spring practice. The most recent addition to the visitors' list is five-star 2027 recruit Kennedy Brown from Humble, Texas. This is another five-star making its way to Tennessee, which is huge for the future of the Tennessee program.
Tennessee, Josh Heupel lock in visit with legacy recruit the Vols can't let get away
Brown is one of the best players in the nation, coming in at No. 8 overall according to 247Sports. Brown has offers from every major powerhouse in the country: Alabama, Georgia, Clemson, LSU, Ohio State, Oregon, Notre Dame, and a plethora of others.Â
5-stars have been very interested in Tennessee
Digging Deeper, Brown has the versatility to line up at multiple positions on the offensive line. He can play both tackle spots and he could also slide inside if needed. He has a big frame and owns very long arms which help him engage defenders early and often.
Tennessee already signed an amazing offensive line class in 2026 and if they were able to add Brown to the fold in 2027, it would be a phenomenal two years of offensive lineman. Last year they got five star Gabriel Osenda and in this class they already have in-state, four-star Princeton Uwaifo from Murfreesboro.Â
Tennessee is also after in-state five-star running back David Gabriel-Georges and five-star offensive guard Maxwell Hiller. Heupel signed his best class in 2026 and is looking to replicate that success once again by aggressively looking to sign blue-chip recruits.
The Vols have four commits right now in the class of 2027. As we approach summertime this number will grow, but it’s not time for Vols fans to hit the panic button.Â
