Thanks to the mess going on at LSU, countless names are being tossed around as potential replacements for Brian Kelly after his not-so-great stay with the SEC powerhouse. When it comes to Tennessee football, the Vols thankfully don't have to worry about Josh Heupel struggling running his offense and having UT in a position to get back to the CFP.
Tennessee fans relying on YouTube TV could get screwed out of watching Oklahoma game
However, might some worry be coming that perhaps a big-money offer could come in to get him to leave Knoxville? In recent days, we've all seen Heupel's name floated around for the LSU job, which seems silly. Why would he leave Tennessee?
With that said, LSU might get desperate and send a blank check to someone in order to make a splash hire. While we're not overly worried about Heupel even thinking about jumping ship, crazier things have happened and both Andy Staples and Ari Wasserman seem to think it wouldn't be a total surprise if LSU comes calling:

Josh Heupel's name continues getting floated as a potential LSU candidate
At the same time, the two analysts aren't convinced that Heupel would entertain such a move, as even Nick Saban said the Top 20 jobs in college football are now more 'compressed' than they used to be. Should this be enough for Vols fans to sit back and relax?
We think so. Things have been a total disaster for LSU in the past week, with Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry surely scaring plenty of potential candidates away. In addition to Kelly being let go, Scott Woodward was also given his walking papers.
So, LSU is now looking for a new school president, AD and head football coach? Talk about chaos. Meanwhile for the Vols, it's business as usual for the 'everything' school. Tennessee is a premier job and it doesn't take a backseat to anyone.
Heupel has turned the program around and he's a rockstar all over the state. For him to leave now and take over a disaster in Baton Rouge would be a major gamble and one he's probably smart enough to stay away from. Right now, Heupel's only focus is on taking down his alma mater at Neyland Stadium this Saturday and continuing to push for another CFP berth. Once again, no need to worry about him leaving for a different program, especially not LSU.
