The NFL has announced the 319 NFL Draft prospects who have been invited to the combine, and the Tennessee football team will be well represented at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Vols will have six players in Indianapolis looking to improve their draft stock.

Wideout Chris Brazzell II and cornerback Colton Hood could become first-round picks if they perform well. Both players are mocked right around the end of the first round or somewhere in the second round, depending on the media outlet. A strong week in front of GMs and scouts could solidify their status as top 32 picks in April's draft. Vols star cornerback Jermod McCoy is pretty much the only lock to go in the first round for Tennessee as of right now, as many scouts believe he is the consensus top cornerback in the draft over LSU's Mansoor Delane. A strong week could push Miles Kitselman, Joshua Josephs, and Bryson Eason firmly into day two territory.
Why this matters for the Tennesse football program
The biggest thing that sticks out for the Vols is the versatility. Tennessee is sending defensive backs, defensive linemen, a tight end, and a wide receiver to the combine. The Vols have had recent NFL success with running backs, linebackers, and offensive linemen, too, showing that Tennessee isn't just a one-trick pony; they produce.
Plus, the other good news? That number should only climb with Jim Knowles now leading the defense. With four Vols headed to the Combine and the best defensive coordinator in the nation calling the plays, it’s safe to expect even bigger things in the future.
Josh Heupel has done a fantastic job moving Vols from the SEC to the NFL. The Vols had multiple NFL Pro Bowl selections, and they had a Super Bowl winner in wideout Velus Jones Jr. Tennessee is already coming off a very successful 2026 recruiting class, and seeing more players get drafted, especially high, will only improve the Vols' chances with top prospects on the recruiting trail.
