Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel isn't one to feed his guys outside noise/drama for extra motivation, but Kentucky fans just provided it in a head-turning way. Leading up to Kickoff, the infamous 'The Rock' on campus in Knoxville was painted blue, with several cringey messages delivered on it. Stein Time? Big Blue Rock? Yup, that was on full display, and it's time for the Vols to deliver some payback where it matters most.
On the football field. This border rivalry has been given some extra spice before both teams suit up, and after the final whistle, it could lead to these Wildcats pranksters regretting things big time. George MacIntyre, DeSean Bishop, Arion Carter, and the rest of the locker room need to be pretty dang fired up over this.
Shout out to these heroes who just got finished painting The Rock at The University of Tennessee. It now reads "Stein Time" on one side and "Big Blue Rock" on the other. pic.twitter.com/WgX39Po3lx

The Rock getting painted blue by Kentucky fans won't end well for the Wildcats against Tennessee
Puke. Thankfully, this eyesore has already been fixed, with the ugly blue quickly being painted over. Still, even if this new look only lasted a few hours, it was more than enough to tick off the Tennessee faithful, while it also had Kentucky supporters chirping a little bit on social media.
Hey, we get it. Wildcats out there are feeling pretty cocky these days with the job that Will Stein is doing for the program. Kentucky, in wild fashion, is 7-1 on the year, ranked No. 8 in the AP Top 25, and No. 6 in the College Football Playoff rankings. Mark Stoops leaving town and getting replaced by Stein has everyone smiling from ear to ear.
Time to turn that upside down, though. Tennessee has owned this rivalry, period. The Vols are 8-2 in the last 10 games against baby bro, and they'll enter this showdown favored by 5.5 points according to the FanDuel sportsbook. This group is furious as it is following the deflating loss to South Carolina. Add in this disrespect from those donned in blue, and you've got a perfect recipe for Tennessee to play some spirited ball.
We're not taking anything away from Kentucky - they're a damn good squad, and there's a reason they're in the Top 10. However, until the Wildcats can prove that they can overcome the Vols when it matters, there's always going to be skepticism about UK landing a proverbial haymaker on Heupel and Co.
All of that will get settled once the pads come in. Stein said this week that he and his coaches were doing everything possible to prepare for the wild environment that's waiting for them at Neyland Stadium.
Add in the fact that The Rock makeover arrived, and it's only going to make Vols in the stands scream louder, while also doing everything possible to make life difficult for Kenny Minchey and the Kentucky offense. The group of Kentuckians may have enjoyed this moment with paint all over their fingers, but goodness, they're going to wish quickly that they had never done this.
