Lane Kiffin is getting dunked on after calling out the SEC over night games
There's nothing quite like Lane Kiffin stirring up things in the SEC. Tennessee Volunteers fans know all about the head coach, as no one has forgotten about him bolting Knoxville for the sunshine in California. How'd your time with USC go, coach?
Now that he's back in the conference with Ole Miss, Kiffin keeps making headlines, but for some peculiar reasons. This week while speaking to the press, Kiffin seemed livid that LSU got another night game. Okay?
Kiffin seemed jealous, as he was hoping that maybe he'd get a late kick for the monster showdown on the way at home against Georgia. Kiffin didn't get his way, whined to reporters and now people are letting him have it.
Lane Kiffin blasting the SEC over night games seemed incredibly odd
"So, who went at night? LSU gets to play at night again, I guess? Shocker. That’s two for two for them."
- Lane Kiffin
Kiffin brought up the fact that there's a massive home-field advantage for night games, which we understand, but did he really have to throw LSU under the bus over this? Kiffin would have loved some extra help from the crowd to take down the Bulldogs, but something tells us the Ole Miss fans are going to be making life difficult for UGA no matter what time kickoff is.
A quick look on social media shows that people are not happy with Kiffin's latest comments and it's easy to see why. We're surprised he didn't bring up the Vols, as Josh Heupel and Co. have another night game on the way this weekend.
This time around, Tennessee will be hosting Kentucky in a game the team is big-time favorites for. Neyland Stadium will be electric under the bright lights against the Wildcats. As for Kiffin, should Ole Miss lose to Georgia, which is expected, don't be surprised if he goes after the SEC once again.
