Hasn't Lane Kiffin caused enough headaches for Tennessee football fans over the years? Now that he's going all-in on landing his top targets for the 2026 class, this could unfortunately result in some bad news for Josh Heupel and his staff.
As most of you know by now, 4-star Tennessee tight end commit Carson Sneed is taking several other official visits moving forward. This includes an upcoming trip to Oxford this weekend, with Kiffin and his coaching staff hoping to turn his head. Sneed remains committed to the Vols, but Kiffin indeed is hoping to have a say in things.
4-star Tennessee TE commit Carson Sneed is visiting Ole Miss this weekend
This trip for Sneed has been set for a little while now. It's important to remember that this isn't his first time meeting with Kiffin, as he has previously taken an unofficial visit to meet with him in person and to see what Ole Miss has to offer.
How things go for him in the coming days could play a role in his final decision, which Heupel is hoping will result with him playing his college ball in Knoxville. For now, Sneed has official visits set up with Ole Miss, Florida and Tennessee - he previously took an OV to North Carolina too.
The 6-6, 250-pounder has been a Tennessee verbal since August, but plenty of other teams have been working to flip him. According to the 247Sports Composite, he's ranked four stars, the No. 13 TE in the country and the No. 8 prospect overall from Tennessee.
Keeping the Nashville product home would be great for Heupel and Co., but the Vols clearly have a lot of work to do to make sure he doesn't flip his decision. Sneed was just on campus for the 865 Live recruiting event and his June 20 official visit in Knoxville will also be an important one for him.
