While Tennessee football quarterback Joey Aguilar is getting a ton of attention for his fantastic Neyland Stadium debut, don't forget about running back Star Thomas. The Duke transfer was fantastic, posting three touchdowns for his first game in front of more than 100,000 people.
Come this weekend against Georgia, Thomas knows Knoxville is going to be on a totally different level for the first SEC contest of his career. So, how's the veteran running back getting ready for one of the biggest games of his life? He's turning back the clock a bit, rewatching Jaylen Wright's incredible 75-yard TD to get things going vs. UGA in 2023:
Even a Georgia QB legend thinks Tennessee will take down Georgia in Week 3
#Vols newcomer Star Thomas says he’s rewatching Jaylen Wright’s opening drive touchdown against Georgia to get ready for how loud Neyland Stadium could be Saturday.

Star Thomas is ready for Tennessee fans to deliver against Georgia in Week 3
Thomas saw just how pumped the crowd was after that brilliant run from Wright and he's ready for more of the same to be showcased in Week 3. Campus will be electric all weekend, especially with College GameDay on hand.
With that said, let's hope there's a different result for the Vols from what happened in 2023. Despite Wright getting things going with his eye-opening play, Georgia dominated the rest of the way - Kirby Smart and Co. left town that November with a 38-10 win to their name.
In total, the Dawgs have won eight straight games over the Vols, with Josh Heupel posting an 0-5 record against his SEC foe. Georgia fans have every right to feel confident leading up to kickoff, but UT supporters everywhere are convinced the Vols will land a haymaker on UGA on Saturday.
Joey Aguilar, Thomas and the rest of the offense have been fun to watch through the first two games, while the defense has looked strong too. Gunner Stockton and No. 6 Georgia will provide one of the toughest tests of the year, but that doesn't mean the Vols won't be ready to pull off a stunner. Thomas can't wait for this one to get started and that feeling is shared by thousands of people across the country.
