Need another reason to love what Joey Aguilar is getting done thus far this season for Tennessee football? Allow us to deliver that for you to enjoy. In Week 2, Aguilar put on a show against East Tennessee State, helping the Vols post a 72-17 win.

It was the most points the Vols have put up on the scoreboard in team history. Aguilar was brilliant in his lone half of work and it actually ended up being a record-breaking performance for him. According to Pro Football Focus, Aguilar posted a 94.2 grade, which is now the highest one for any Tennessee QB in a single game ever:

Tennessee vs. Georgia betting line shifts but there's still no faith in the Vols

Joey Aguilar quietly put together a record-breaking performance for Tennessee in Week 2

That's just sensational. It's not a surprise that Aguilar graded out so well, as he was throwing the ball all over the field against ETSU. On the day, the first-year Vol tossed for 288 yards and two touchdowns. He was putting the pigskin on the money.

As you've probably seen by now, Aguilar's day was highlighted by his incredible touchdown pass to Mike Matthews. Aguilar tossed it downfield and the 5-star wideout leaped high into the sky to come down with it. Go ahead and watch it again, but this time with the amazing Spanish call from Carlos Lopez:

Up next for Aguilar and the Vols is the big-time showdown with Georgia in Week 3. College GameDay will be on hand outside of Neyland Stadium and Knoxville is going to be turned upside down for this one. This is a Top 15 matchup, with UGA at No. 6 in the rankings and UT No. 15.

Thus far, Aguilar has been close to perfect running the offense for Tennessee, but he hasn't faced a defense like Georgia's. It's surely going to be a different kind of test for him, but it's one he's ready to face head on. With a win, Aguilar will be able to silence his doubters and fire the Vols (potentially) into the Top 10. Goodness, it would be sweet if he can get that job done.
