Let us state something you probably already know: Tennessee football fans are among the best in the world. The passion is hard to match and the UT faithful will always be ready to support Josh Heupel and his players when they have a big game coming up.
Need further proof of that? On Saturday night, Tennessee will be taking on Ohio State in what's sure to be a tight showdown. The expectation is that the stands are going to be painted orange with a Knoxville takeover. Well, things have already gotten started with Tennessee fans being loud and proud at a bar in Columbus. Yup, the traveling support is being made well known:
Tennessee fans are going to pack The Shoe for the CFP game vs. Ohio State
That's just unreal right there - sing Rocky Top with all you've got! Is anyone surprised, though? Ticket sales have shown that there's going to be a wild amount of people making the trip from Tennessee to Ohio to watch the Vols try to post an upset in the biggest game of the year for the SEC side.
Ohio State is a home favorite, but Heupel and his players don't give a darn about that. Standout running back Dylan Sampson is ready to make a ton of noise, while star QB Nico Iamaleava is playing down all the concerns over the cold temperatures.
Jon Gruden has predicted the Vols to take down the Buckeyes and he's not the only one. With some of the off-field drama for Day too, it feels like too many distractions could come back to haunt Ohio State. With a win, Tennessee would move on to play Oregon in the quarterfinals.
With a loss, though, the campaign would come to a close. Everyone in Knoxville is hoping a trip to Eugene will be on the way on Jan. 1. Will that end up being the case for Coach Heupel? Kickoff is almost here. Time to see what Tennessee is made of.
