Tennessee football has lit the college football world on fire with its start to the 2024 season. They have started the season 2-0 with wins over Chattanooga and No. 24 North Carolina State, outscoring their opponents 120-13.

The Vols' offense is led by its third quarterback in four years, but they haven't missed a beat in opening the season, continuing to dominate on the offensive side of the ball.

Redshirt freshman quarterback Nico Iamaleava is proving early on that he is worthy of the hype he has received and should be considered for the Heisman Trophy. He's thrown 38-for-51 for 525 yards and five touchdowns. He has also done a good job using his legs, rushing for 71 yards to start the season.

College football analysts, former players, and coaches have all praised Nico's first two games of the season. Former Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray is the most recent to join the parade of praise.

Murray joined "The Next Round," a YouTube football show, and was asked who he thinks will be the best quarterback in the Southeastern Conference a year from now. He did not hesitate, answering Tennessee's Nico Iamaleava.

One of the show's co-hosts asked him who would be the best quarterback in the SEC a year from now, and he quickly responded, "It's Nico. There's no doubt about it."

Nico lit up Chattanooga through the air in Week One, while the run game took control in Week Two against NC State. He's proven he can be efficient and effective with his arm and legs regardless of the opponent, which gives him a high ceiling if he continues to improve over the next few years.

ESPN's Lee Corso is one of many who agree with Murray's assessment of Nico after two weeks. On ESPN's College Gameday, Corso mentioned that we could see Nico win "more than one" Heisman Trophy at Tennessee

Nico will look to continue his dominance as Kent State comes to town this weekend. The Vols and Golden Flashes are scheduled to kick off at 7:45 PM ET on SEC Network.
