Tennessee football is heating up on the recruiting trail this summer, adding several commitments to its 2025 recruiting class.

2025 four-star quarterback George MacIntyre has been leading recruiting efforts online as one of the first players in the class to commit to Tennessee.

That could be part of the reason Tennessee has had a successful summer recruiting. The Vols have earned eight commitments since the beginning of June, including back-to-back Saturdays.

On3 Sports' Chad Simmons noted on X that Saturdays have been good Tennessee is a month before the season starts. MacIntyre also hinted at a possible surprise commitment coming soon, adding to the Tennessee summer hype.

MacIntyre was the fifth player in the 2025 class to officially commit to Tennessee in January as a five-star at that point and has been working the social recruiting trail ever since. He's also the highest-rated player in the class and the only top-50 player so far.

So, who could he be hinting at? As Simmons mentions, Lagonza Hayward will announce his decision on July 27, four-star offensive lineman Juan Gaston will announce on August 2, and Josh Petty will announce on August 12.

Many Tennessee fans' most-anticipated decision date is August 17, when five-star offensive tackle David Sanders Jr. will announce where he intends to sign to play college football.

Those aren't necessarily surprises unless you fully expect one of those recruits to commit somewhere other than Tennessee.

Earlier this month, Simmons made an expert prediction that current Georgia commit Jadon Perlotte would transfer to Tennessee. The four-star linebacker shared a picture on X from his visit to Tennessee, which could hint at his intention to transfer to the Vols.

If Tennessee continues its momentum on the recruiting trail, we could see a couple of players commit to the Vols over the next month. Hayward will be the first to announce his decision this Saturday, but MacIntyre might be hinting that Tennessee will get good news sooner than the weekend.
