From the moment 5-star wide receiver Kesean Bowman opened up his recruitment and backed off his Oregon pledge, plenty of eyes have been on Tennessee football. The Vols hosted him for the Georgia game and then he was back in town for the UAB clash too.
Tennessee football getting back stud defensive starter for the Mississippi State game
Bowman is a stud speedster for the Brentwood Academy, which is about three hours away from Knoxville. Now that he's an open prospect once again, Josh Heupel and the coaching staff are making it clear to the in-stater that he's a top priority. Bowman is feeling the love, with On3's Austin Priceless recently saying that the momentum could be swinging in the Vols' favor:
Tennessee has "a ton of momentum" with highly-touted 2027 WR Kesean Bowman from Brentwood Academy.

Ohio State and others are still going hard after Tennessee target Kesean Bowman
That's certainly good news for Tennessee, as keeping him home would be a major recruiting win for the Vols. However, as you might have been able to guess, multiple other teams haven't wasted time in quickly reaching out to the youngster.
The list includes Ohio State and Ryan Day. The Buckeyes are getting some help from 4-star quarterback commit Brady Edmunds, one of the top signal-callers out there for the 2027 class. Ohio State had Bowman in Columbus for a visit earlier this season and a return trip to campus could be in the cards for him.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Bowman is ranked five stars, the No. 6 wide receiver in the country and No. 36 prospect nationally for '27. He holds 40 offers to his name, with every powerhouse out there dreaming of landing his signature in December 2026.
Bowman is a true playmaker and he's got college superstar written all over him. The thought of him and 2026 5-star commit Tristen Keys catching balls from Faizon Brandon down the road is something Tennessee fans can't stop thinking about. It won't be a surprise at all if he does end up choosing the Vols, but Ohio State and others are going to be working overtime to grab his verbal instead.
