Come on, this is just so wholesome. Knoxville is on another level today with Tennessee football making its home debut for the 2025 season. That means Neyland Stadium is going to be packed for the showdown with East Tennessee State.
Plenty of eyes will be on Joey Aguilar, as he'll be playing in front of the UT faithful for the first time in his career. Before kickoff, however, he of course went through his first Vol Walk and it was as special as you might have imagined. Things were made even better for him with his family there to greet him before he made his way inside of the stadium:

Joey Aguilar is ready to produce a memorable 1st game at Neyland Stadium
You've got to love that clip courtesy of reporter Camille Gear. First, Aguilar gives his mom a hug, gets a kiss from his 82-year-old grandma and then a kiss from his girlfriend as well. The smile on his grandma's face says it all, as you can tell just how much this moment means to everyone.
Aguilar will look to make things even better for everyone thanks to what should be a brilliant Week 2 performance for him. Should that happen, which we're expecting, it will follow what was a dream Tennessee debut for him last week against Syracuse.
In the season-opener, the App State/UCLA transfer tossed for 247 yards and three touchdowns. He was the key figure in the Vols having little issues in taking down Syracuse 45-26. What will Aguilar and the Tennessee offense be able to do for an encore?
We'll find out soon enough, but it's looking to be a magical day in Knoxville for everyone on hand. Remember too that this is also the first Tennessee game for Aguilar's family and they're about to learn what the community is about in the best way possible. Already, that Vol Walk is going to prove to be something they'll all cherish for quite some time.
