Tennessee football continues to build recruiting momentum after Alabama win
Tennessee football has been working on all cylinders on the recruiting trail since its back-to-back rivalry wins over Florida and Alabama.
2026 Four-star offensive lineman Brandon Anderson announced his commitment to Tennessee before leaving Knoxville after the win over Alabama. Class of 2026 Three-star defensive lineman Tyson Bacon also committed to Tennessee after the Vols' victory over the Crimson Tide.
It doesn't look like Tennessee is done, though, as Josh Heupel and the coaching staff continue to work hard on the recruiting trail. Four-star linebacker Austin Howard was also in attendance for the Alabama game. He was committed to Mississippi State, but Howard announced he would commit after Tennessee's win.
It is rumored that he could switch to Tennessee after attending the school's rivalry win over Alabama, but he hasn't announced where he plans to play college football since announcing his commitment.
Four-star linebacker and South Carolina commit Rodney Colton Jr was also in attendance for the Alabama game and could be looking to flip his commitment to Tennessee. 247Sports' National Recruiting Analyst Tom Loy made an expert prediction that Colton will flip from South Carolina to Tennessee.
Loy has recently made a few crystal ball predictions in favor of Tennessee. He has predicted that four-star defensive lineman Isaiah Campbell and five-star wide receiver Tristen Keys will also commit to Tennessee.
The 6-foot-1, 220-pound linebacker is just outside the top 150 players in the 2026 recruiting class. He ranks as the No. 152 overall player in the class, No. 12 linebacker, and the No. 18 player in the state of Georgia
Tennessee has had two huge recruiting weekends, with Florida and Alabama coming to Rocky Top in back-to-back weeks. It looks like it is paying off for the Vols immediately after the Alabama win.
The Vols currently have the No. 8 recruiting class for 2025 and the No. 7 recruiting class for the 2026 cycle. We still have a long way to go for both classes, but Heupel continues to win on the field and throughout the recruiting trail.
