The Tennessee football team is cooking, getting the job done on the field and out on the recruiting trail. Everyone is still celebrating 5-star wideout Tristen Keys flipping from LSU to the Vols and now another elite prospect has had a change of heart too.

Moments ago, 4-star EDGE Hezekiah Harris announced that he will no longer be Auburn-bound for his college career. Instead, he'll be making the move to Knoxville. In the end, Harris was considering Auburn, Tennessee and Florida, but the Vols have been able to come out on top this time around.

4-star EDGE Hezekiah Harris has flipped his commitment from Auburn to Tennessee

The 6-5, 235-pounder had been committed to Auburn since July of last year, but he took visits to Gainesville and Knoxville in June. His June 20 official visit with Tennessee was clearly eye-opening, leading to Monday's big news.

According to the 247Sports Composite, the newest Tennessee pledge is ranked four stars, the No. 13 EDGE in the country, No. 7 prospect from Alabama and No. 100 playmaker nationally for the 2026 class. In addition to Tennessee, Auburn and Florida, he also had offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia, Miami and many others.

With Harris being an Alabama native, this no question stings not only just for Auburn, but the Tide too. Things are a bit of a mess for Alabama, as Kalen DeBoer and his players suffered a brutal Week 1 loss to Florida State on the road. Bama was a 14-point favorite for that one.

That's obviously not a worry for Heupel and the Vols, with Tennessee now at 1-0 after dominating Syracuse in Atlanta. The announcement from Harris only makes things better for this team, especially with the home opener at Neyland Stadium coming later in the week too.

As a whole, the Vols are now up to 25 known pledges for the '26 haul. Before Harris flipped to Tennessee, Heupel and his staff had the No. 8 recruiting class in the country. There's a legitimate chance Tennessee could finish in the Top 5 by the time everything's said and done.
